Lasting Impressions

This dainty solo for marimba (playable down to F below middle C) covers several 4-mallet techniques including independent rotation, double vertical strokes and double lateral strokes in the left hand. The simple chord progression provides a good opportunity for the novice performer to become comfortable playing contrasting rhythms between the hands. Suitable for a grade 4 performer.
